The Story of mr bob puzzles
A small business with a big passion for creativity, storytelling, and handcrafted puzzle making.
Who We Are
Mr Bob Puzzles was started by Robert Williams in 2016. His point of difference was and still is today a totally Australian made entity showcasing Australian Artists. With his encourangement, vast knowledge and guidance, and in collaboration with Puzzletown6255, local Bridgetown business owners Nic Fabiszak and Heidi took over the business in 2024 with the intention of continuing on his efforts in the same way. We are not family but we share the same passions and attention to detail and love of fine art. Bob continues to be a close advisor as we recreate Mr Bob Puzzles in collaboration with Puzzletown 6255 in Bridgetown.
Where It All Began
Mr Bob Puzzles started from a love of puzzles and craftsmanship. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a thriving small business, producing thousands of premium wooden puzzles for families, collectors, and businesses across Australia.
Pip Mills from Bridgetown Pottery Restaurant made contact with Bob to produce a limited edition of 12 puzzles from a small locally selected artists exhibition. Each year the exhibition was held as part of the Fridgetown Fest events held throughout winter. A different artists piece was chosen by popular vote to turn into a puzzle each year.
This collaboration grew over a few years and in that time the vision of developing and improving on the already existing Mrs Brierley’s jigsaw gallery came to fruition largely due to the benevolence of an interested benefactor and the determination of Pip Mills and the local tourism association.
Today Mr Bob Puzzles are designed and manufactured entirely in Bridgetown in partnership with Puzzletown6255, producing their own wooden puzzles with local artists works.
From Artwork to Puzzle — The Creation Process
We combine creative design, digital precision, and hands-on craftsmanship to turn images into heirloom-quality wooden puzzles.
- Step 1: Artwork & Preparation. We have a gallery of selected artworks available as puzzles to choose from. However if you have a specific image or desire to produce a puzzle we can accommodate as long as the image is of a reasonably high quality. Most mobile phones take good images these days.
- Step 2: Cutting & Crafting. A cut design is made and the printed image is placed onto the mdf for cutting on the laser. On completion it is collected off the laser bed and placed ready for finishing.
- Step 3: Sanding & Finishing. The puzzle pieces are separated and some are infused with essential oils before being placed in a calico bag and into the correctly labelled box.(Or that is always the plan)
- Step 4: Packaging & Delivery. The puzzles are then sent to you via the best means usually post.

The Mr Bob Puzzles team is small but mighty — a group of passionate creators who love transforming ideas into puzzles. In collaboration with the volunteers at Puzzletown 6255 Nic, Heidi and Ewan are the face of Mr Bob Puzzles.
We have created a great work space and interactive public gallery where tourists and travellers can enter and see puzzles being manufactured as well as enjoying the varied forms of puzzling entertainment in the playroom.Come and visit and you won’t leave without a puzzle or some idea of one.
